DE-FOA-0001749: Notice of Intent to Issue Funding Opportunity Announcement DE-FOA-0001750 Flexible Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Systems for Grid Support

The purpose of this Notice of Intent is to provide potential applicants advance notice that the Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy intends to issue, on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Office, a Funding Opportunity Announcement, number DE-FOA-0001750 titled "Flexible Combined Heat and Power for Grid Reliability and Resiliency".

The objective of this FOA is research-enabling technologies for flexible CHP systems that are specifically designed to provide cost-effective support to the electric grid. The systems will enable small to mid-size manufacturers to gain the benefits of CHP systems while at the same time providing a resource to the grid so that it is more reliable, resilient and secure.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED THROUGH THIS NOTICE. Please do not submit questions or respond to this Notice of Intent. It is anticipated that this FOA will be posted to the EERE Exchange website in the February 2018 timeframe. If Applicants wish to receive official notifications and information from EERE regarding the FOA, they should register in EERE Exchange. When the FOA is released, applications will be accepted only through EERE Exchange.
